How to Generate an App-Specific Password?

Step 1. Open your browser, visit mail.yahoo.com, and log in to your Yahoo account using your email regular address and password.

Step 2. On the main Yahoo mail page, click on the icon next to your name (in the top right corner of the page) and choose the Account Info option.

Step 3. On the Account Info page, click the Account Security option.

Step 4. On the Account Security page, click the Generate app password option located at the bottom of the page.

Step 5. Select which app or service the app-password will be used for and click Generate.

Step 6. An app-specific password key will be generated - copy it.

Step 7. Finally, use the generated app-password key instead of your regular password, in the application where you have added your Yahoo account.
