OST PST Viewer is a rather new application in comparison to other 4Team apps and does not yet have a direct export data to .pdf function. However, exporting data to .pdf is still possible, but requires some preparation.
Preparation
In order to extract email messages or any other items from your data file, you can use the print option in OST PST Viewer, but it will require a little tweak in Devices and Printers.
Step 1. Click the Windows Start button and select the Settings option.
Step 2. In the Settings window, type in the word printer in the search menu top left and select the Printers and scanners option.
Step 3. In the Printers & scanners window, you will see a list of printer devices available and your printer device set as default. Also in the list, you will see Microsoft Print to PDF device - select it.
Step 4. In the devices properties window, click the Set as Default option.
Step 5. Open the OST PST Viewer app and pick an item you want to extract as .pdf and click the Print option on the right menu.
Step 5. Instead of the print going to your main printer, it will give you an option to save the printout as a .pdf file. Write the name of the item you are exporting and click the Save button.
Step 6. Once the file is saved, you will be able to open the .pdf file with your browser or PDF Reader app.
Tips:
- OST PST Viewer works with or without Outlook installed.
- Make sure the default printer is switched back if you want to resume your regular printing.
