How to Update SendLater to Latest Version

Why is it important to keep the SendLater version up to date?

Because of outside factors like Microsoft Outlook or Windows version changes, SendLater needs to change as well to keep up. With each new SendLater version, new functionalities can be introduced, bugs fixed, and old functionalities discontinued. Most importantly - we do not provide support for old releases as part of our general policy. 

A new version of SendLater is released every few months unless there is urgency and a need for a patched build.

How to check the current SendLater version number

Step 1. Launch the Outlook application. Click on the SendLater tab in the main Outlook ribbon and click the About button.

In the About window, you will see the version of the application written at the top.

You can also check the SendLater version in Apps and Features.

Step 1. Right-click the Windows Start button and select the Apps and Features option.

Step 2. In the Apps and Features window, locate the 4Team SendLater application and click on it. The version number will be visible there.

You can also check the SendLater version history page. Inside you will see the latest version number at the top of the list.

How to check if an update is available

Step 1. Launch the Outlook application. Click on the SendLater tab in the main Outlook ribbon and click the About button.

Step 2. In the About window, click the Check for Update button and select the Check for updates now option from the drop-down menu.

You will be redirected to a SendLater web page where you will see if an update is available. If an update is available, you will see download options.

If you have the latest version already, there will be nothing new to download.

How to check license validity before updating SendLater to the latest version

It is very important that your SendLater license is valid if you want to update to the latest SendLater version. If you try to update with an expired license, SendLater will revert to a Free version.

Step 1. Open up your browser and go to the 4Team Members Area page. Log in to your 4Team Members account.

Step 2. Once logged into your account, click the My Activations option located on the left side of the page.

Step 3. On the My Activations page, you will find your activation keys and you will be able to see your license Status.

 How to update SendLater to the latest version

There are two most commonly used methods to update SendLater: updating via the SendLater app itself, or uninstalling the old SendLater version and installing a new one.

Method #1

Step 1. Launch the Outlook application. Click on the SendLater tab in the main Outlook ribbon and click the About button.

Step 2. In the About window, click the Check for Update button and select the Check for updates now option from the drop-down menu.

You will be redirected to a SendLater web page where you will see if an update is available. If an update is available, you will see download options.

Step 3. Click the Install Update button.

Step 4. A setup file will be downloaded. Wait for the download to finish and run the setup file when ready. If you cannot find where the setup was downloaded, press the CTRL+J combination in your browser to open the Downloads page.

Step 5. The setup will ask if you want to perform an upgrade of SendLater. Click the Yes button.

Step 6. Follow the setup wizard until the installation is complete.

Method #2

The second method involves uninstalling the old SendLater version via Apps and Features and then downloading and installing the latest SendLater version directly from the website.

Step 1. Uninstall the current 4Team SendLater application you have via Settings > Apps > Select 4Team SendLater application and Uninstall.

Step 2. Visit the SendLater website and click the Download button at the top of the page.

Step 3. On the Downloads page, click the Download now button.

Step 4. Close the 'Thank you for downloading the SendLater' popup or subscribe if you haven't already.

Step 5. A setup file will be downloaded. 

Note: SendLater is a 32-bit application, which means it will only work with 32-bit Outlook.

Step 6. Run the installation file, follow the installation wizard and finish installing the SendLater application.

Tips:

  • It's always a good idea to re-check the SendLater version after an update to make sure it's the latest one.
  • Do not update SendLater to the latest version unless your SendLater license is valid.
  • Make sure you install the correct bit version of SendLater to match Outlook's bit version.
  • SendLater does not auto-update. Updates always need to be done manually.
  • SendLater is a 32-bit application, which only works with 32-bit Outlook.
